Our Story

Nourishment, thoughtfully composed. Care, beautifully gifted.

Care runs in my family. My grandmother was a nurse in Shanghai, and I grew up seeing that food is one of our oldest languages of care. I remember it in small things: steamed fish with ginger & scallions, fruits chosen at the peak of ripeness, cut up so I can easily eat them, and the insistence that I take something home.

My other language is design. Studying landscape architecture at Harvard taught me that composition and scale can change how we feel. The relationship between colour, texture, season and form can create delight, comfort, even awe.

I began to wonder: what if food could be composed in the same way?

Annie's Gift is where those two languages meet. Each edible composition brings together beauty, flavor and nourishment, drawing inspiration from western nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine and the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

Like a garden, each gift is made from relationships: something delicate beside something abundant, something fresh beside something earthy, something familiar beside something unexpected.

Our gifting system is simple. The vessel remains familiar, while the ingredients evolve with the seasons and the people we care for. Every composition is thoughtfully curated and beautifully personalized.

Because ultimately, it’s about something much simpler.

A gift can say: I remember you. I know you well. I want you to be nourished.

The character on every gift, 礼 (lǐ), means both courtesy and gift. It's the spirit of thoughtful giving.
